Re treatments

During re-treatment, the affected tooth is reopened to gain access to the root canal filling. This may require disassembling crowns, posts, and other restorative materials in order to reach the root of the tooth. The filling material from the initial procedure is removed and the canals are thoroughly cleaned.

2 visits, requires 2 weeks between the first appointment and the second one to finish and prevent re-infections.

New trauma, deep decay, or a loose, cracked, or broken filling can cause a new infection in your tooth. In some cases, the endodontist may discover additional very narrow or curved canals that could not be treated during the initial procedure.
